EVERYBODY KNOWS

Brexit! The ’loved-me-and-left-me’ song. On the saxophone.

The Glorious Mystery, Jacob. Where did you really leave The Establishment. Of your Church?

“With all of you wives. With my blood! My Spirit!” said the grandfather.

“Where is the lamb, father? Yeah, Abraham, what did you forget?”

The Call.

Old age?

Historic Preservation.  Tuck-pointed.  At a place where everyone knows the building if not the people who attend.

Clouded vision.  Cataracts.  The ability to see through the other side of the heavens. Ghosts.  The changing past.  Mystery, carried.

The Establishment.  The established Spirit.  The Remover of blood?

Crumbling places.  THE THINGS THAT NOBODY KNOWS.

About baby teeth.

Losing the first Ones.  Teachers, like The Articles of Confederation, with Teeth.

The Replacements.  The Temple, restored. The need for teeth and books and teachers.

The Agitators.  Is anybody in there?   The Battles, over Creation.  Henry VII.  His Church of England, in the 26 various plots about LEAVING, with The Mystery which you carried.  Or dropping the ball?

Everybody knows that the dice are loaded.

Everybody knows with their fingers CROSSED.
Everybody knows that the war is over.
Everybody knows that the good guys lost.

Ghosts. The THERE here! The changing past.  The Permanent Teeth. The reputations established.  Did you know that my mother has played bridge with the mother of Paul Westerberg, until this autumn?  Did you know that Leonard Cohen passed?

The Mystery, carried.  The concepts.  Antidisestablishmentarianism.  THE THINGS YOU BURY THAT NOBODY KNOWS.

These bodies.  The institutions, of Church and State which prepare for battle, again, the young.  The do-overs.  The connection. . . to that what was here in the BEGINNING, is now and ever shall be.  The Great UNSETTLING news, about losing everything that matters…. like HOME.  For the head of household.

Antidisestablishmentarianism: The Great UNSETTLING news, about losing everything which defined you.

Isaac. The establishment.  Like a Complete Unknown.  O Jacob… without a Home.  Like a Rolling Stone. Jesus!  In the tradition of Abraham, or in the Tradition of Noah.  In the tradition of Picasso.  In the Tradition of Adam.

The established Spirit, in Crumbling Places.  THE THINGS THAT NOBODY KNOWS…. about Giving something up.

RE: The No THERE there

“Maybe your god is away on journey… perhaps he is asleep?  Or perhaps he is having a busy conversation.”

“They came to Capernaum and, once inside the house, he began to ask them, ‘What were you arguing about on the way?’

“But they remained silent. They had been discussing among themselves on the way who was the greatest.”

These sacred institutions which form the Collective. Church. State. Of the Land. When you give one established institution up. This mystery might lead to a fear about questioning, as you remain silent. Sometimes you need to talk about what you consider personal or “selfish” – what is driven by the self-centered ego and what is just good, healthy self-care. And so in what is a story about muteness in the Land of Israel… of a son — “Mute and deaf spirit, I command you: come out of him.”

These sacred institutions which form the Collective.  Church.  State.  These muted spirits.  When you give one established institution up.

The Establishment. And so what is a story about muteness in the Land of Israel and really the next generation, with a FATHER and son, “with MY son possessed by a mute spirit.”

Transfigured.  Coming back down from an unnamed mountain to “transfigure” the Land possessed by a mute spirit.”

Instructed after to tell no one, about this mystery just witnessed, which might lead to a fear about questioning anything.  Coming down …. The INEFFABLE.  Talking about the just seen Elijah who actually is CONNECTED to the concept of comebacks.

Muted.  Speechless.  Silent.  As the muted part becomes extreme?  Compare/contrast muteness to the command to tell no one.  And how is this connected to a cover-up? Coming down …

“They saw a large crowd around them and scribes arguing with them.  Immediately on seeing him, the whole crowd was utterly amazed. They ran up to him [after the Transfiguration] and greeted him.  He asked them, “What are you arguing about with them?”

Rising from the dead? This leaves the three speechless – confused and fearful.  How alone they must have felt!  About this muteness in the Land of Israel and with a FATHER and son, and really the next generation, “with MY son possessed by a mute spirit.

“Wherever the “Mute and Deaf Spirit” seizes him, it throws him down; to the ground called Israel! He foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive this “Mute and deaf Spirit” out, but they were unable to do so.”

Help my unbelief!”

Jesus, on seeing a crowd rapidly gathering, rebuked the unclean spirit and said to it:
“Mute and deaf spirit, I command you: come out of him and never enter him again!”

Jesus and his disciples left from there and began a journey through Galilee [the north kingdom that lost out to Judah], but he did not wish anyone to know about it.  He was teaching his disciples and telling them, “The Son of Man is to be handed over to men and they will kill him…. but they did not understand the saying, and they were afraid to question him.

Every act of Creation, said Picasso, involves a form of destruction.  Like with the establishment of The Church of England.   THE THINGS YOU BURY THAT NOBODY KNOWS.

To be priest, prophet and king, like these bishops.   No wonder American Catholic bishop, Bishop Robert Morlino of the Madison, Wisconsin Diocese, had been on the advisory board to the United States Army School of the Americas.. .  To be a major player, in the quest for power and majesty.

Concerning the players participating in the changes in the English version of the Roman Missal, “Where did you really leave The Establishment.  Of your Church?”

Boston Cardinal Sean O’Malley launched an investigation into the head of a Boston seminary Monsignor James P. Moroney (Executive Secretary of The Vox Clara Committee responsible for all the changes in the English version of the Roman Missal)on sabbatical since August 2018) after two former seminarians said they had witnessed inappropriate behavior, including sexual misconduct and alcohol abuse, at the school.  To call out the demons within.  Did you remember all of the names of that Vox Clara Committee, chaired by Cardinal George Pell(Sydney)?  Participants in the Vox Clara Committee meeting had been Bishop Thomas Olmsted, First Vice-Chairman (Phoenix), Cardinal Oswald Gracias, Second Vice-Chairman (Bombay), Bishop Arthur Serratelli, Secretary (Paterson), Cardinal Justin Rigali, Treasurer (Philadelphia, Emeritus), Cardinal Francis George, O.M.I. (Chicago), Archbishop Alfred Hughes (New Orleans, Emeritus), Archbishop Michael Neary (Tuam), Archbishop Terrence Prendergast, S.J. (Ottawa), Bishop John Tong Hon (Hong Kong), and Bishop David McGough (Birmingham, Auxiliary).  And also assisting the meeting were Monsignor James P. Moroney (Executive Secretary), Reverend Jeremy Driscoll, O.S.B (expert), Reverend Dennis McManus (expert), Monsignor Gerard McKay (advisor), Reverend Joseph Briody (special assistant) and Reverend Gerard Byrne (special assistant). Abbot Cuthbert Johnson, O.S.B. (advisor) was unable to be present.  Who were the representatives of the Holy See in the devaluation in the English-speaking translation? They included the Delegate to the Vox Clara Committee, British-born Anthony Ward, S.M., Marist Undersecretary of the Congregation, quite involved in the translation process including the massive last-minute revisions, likely in cahoots with his friend Msgr. James Moroney, a professor of liturgy at St. John’s Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts. Archbishop Alfred Hughes (New Orleans, Emeritus), is also a graduate of St. John’s Seminary in Brighton (as was John D’Arcy, the former bishop of Fort Wayne who publicly criticized the University of Notre Dame for its invitation to President Obama to speak at its graduation).

Speaking of muting, The English language has been victimized!  Without content the world-wide web would be a sea without any water.  Without the poetry of the language, there is no connection to the unconnected. In the metaphor of taxes to sacrifice, government levies taxes not to finance its operations, but to give value to its fiat money as sovereign credit instruments.  And this language of sacrifice is the currency that now has been devalued in the English-speaking translation of the Mass.  That oblation of the Prefect of the Congregation of Divine Worship in the way of these changes was risking – like so much of Europe where there was no THERE there – the currency of a living language. Did you feel the soul of the living being cut into with such German indifference, under Joseph Ratzinger, from the days of a church with a missing collegiality, as public worship is put into the private practice of the Vox Clara members?

One by one. Did you feel The Leaving, in the event. Again? “Magister saw the removal of the Spaniard Juan-Miguel Ferrer Grenesche (53) by Pope Francis, in 2014, as significant. Pope Benedict had brought him from Toledo, Spain, where was had been vicar general for Cardinal Cañizares Llovera, whom Francis also had removed as prefect of the Congregation of Divine Worship, even before naming a successor. Magister noted in 2014 Ferrer’s respect for tradition, especially in the field of music and Gregorian chant. Fr. Corrado Maggioni, SMM, 58, was named undersecretary (third in command) at the Congregation for Divine Worship. With this appointment, Fr. Anthony Ward, SM (66) was out. Known for his close work with Msgr. James Moroney, executive secretary of Vox Clara, in the production of the new English Roman Missal,” Anthony Ward is gone.

“Some have wondered whether Ward had a hand in the writing of Liturgiam authenticam, the 2003 Vatican document on liturgical translations, although other names have also been mentioned in that regard. Magister reports that the new undersecretary [Father Maggioni] has liturgical sensitivities close to those of the former papal MC Piero Marini who had worked under Annibale Bugnini in carrying out the liturgical reforms called for by Vatican II.

We make history and mostly forget it.” — Carl Sandburg

Not knowing the family well enough to feel comfortable?

Deaf? Blind? How about forming a muted generation, amidst the noise?

These sacred institutions which form the Collective — Church… and State — Of the Land.

Church fires. When you willingly give up.

As you give one established institution up. The Establishment.

And so what is a story about muteness in the Land of Israel and really the next generation, with a FATHER and son, “with MY son possessed by a mute spirit.” Like The Earth’s mutedness.

This mystery might lead to a fear about questioning, as you remain silent. Sometimes you need to talk about what you consider personal or “selfish” – what is driven by the self-centered ego and what is just good, healthy self-care.

And so in these sacred institutions which form the Collective. Church. State. Israel, the confirmation name of Jacob, with these muted spirits.

As you give one established institution up, in The Glorious Mystery, Jacob, which one? Not so unlike what Jesus in the end gives up, in the splitting of the baby, like King Solomon, son of David, with all the wives?

Where did you really leave The Establishment … of your Temple?

Church? In what is a story not about muteness but what is centered within, in this Land of Israel… of a son — “Mute and deaf spirit, I command you: come out of him.”

Who is right, about this muted God, of Noah? And if you are right, then what?

Not seeing the forest. The Crucifixion. Beyond simple forgiveness. Your blindness. Blinded by the light? Eddie Ryan. SO smug! Who is right about this, and if you are, then what?

Power, by accident of birth? Government can, or no government can, love you? First, Brexit.

“Aristocrat.” Under ‘Rule of’ the best, most worthy. Noble blood. The self-righteous.

Behold The Reactionary – in identity politics. Unrequited love in Russia for 100 years. That Gentleman From Moscow. Abraham, with the “The Cutting Knowledge” which comes from war.

The unknown existence, before he left home. In the initial public offering. The Things They Carry.

Faith as a reaction. Exaggerated identity? Noble rot? Your tribal perspective.

In a more ‘pronounced’ break down of Institutions. The Replacements? The instinct is still there, though it is a good thing Ratzinger retired.

Looking elsewhere. Where you are born, before the Genetically Modified seeds. The cover-up., concerning Christianity and growth. Before the era of only transfer growth–Christians moving from one to other. In times of peace, after all the religious wars over knowing God.

Partisan politics as a substitute for Noble Rot. The take-over. Churches without borders. Private lives. Resurrection Men. Irish men. The Remainers. The Anglicans. The followers of John Knox. Then the separatists in the north of Ireland, with whatever they believe … or who?

    So CHURCH or STATE?

The abuses that came out of The School of the Americas — with apologists like the bishop of Madison — were more shameful than the sexual abuse scandals that came out of my Church. As the Church elites struggle to maintain the Institution’s historic rights and privileges to speak as the moral conscious of a nation-state in The New Millennium, the bishop of Madison never carried the Spirit to Wisconsin, as the advisor to The School of the Americas.

To announce to the world your pain, living both KNOWING and not knowing? Ignorance still over the 1989 assassinations of six Jesuit priests, their housekeeper and her daughter? There has been an exposé of the depths of depravity, to remember the living horror which apparently has come to be so little known. Spain indicted 16 people plus Former Salvadoran Colonel Inocente Orlando Montano [who had been illegally living in the U.S. since 2002 when he lied on immigration papers] for plotting and carrying out the murder of five Spanish Jesuits plus one other priest. Last year, U.S. officials deported two retired Salvadoran generals living in Florida who were implicated in the 1980 rape and murders of four U.S. churchwomen — Maryknoll nuns — among other crimes. General Carlos Eugenio Vides Casanova and General Jose Guillermo Garcia had been both recipients of the U.S. Legion of Merit award from the Armed Forces of the United States of America. And like Former Salvadoran Colonel Inocente Orlando Montano – the former Vice Minister of Defense for Public Safety – they were trained at the U.S. Army’s School of the Americas funded by the U S Congress.

Implicated in these murders and other crimes were all the members of the U.S Congress which continues to fund this world wide terrorism through the School for the Americas. Naming names, for our elected representatives, of the graduates. At the top of the list, the general in charge of Argentina’s so-called “Dirty War,” the internal conflict in the late-1970s and early-1980s where an estimated 30,000 people were tortured, disappeared, and/or were murdered, was a graduate of the School of the Americas. Generals from eight other Latin and Caribbean nations, many cited by human rights groups for involvement in human rights abuses in their own countries. Among other graduates, Manuel Noriega, former president of Panama. Four of the five ranking Honduran officers, who organized death squads in the 1980s as part of Battalion 316, are graduates. Half of the 250 Colombian officers cited for human rights abuses attended the school. The three highest ranking Peruvian officers convicted in February 1994 of murdering nine university students and a professor were all graduates, as well as the Peruvian army commander who brought out tanks to obstruct an initial investigation of the murders. Hugo Banzer, former dictator of Bolivia, is a graduate of the school. Some of the others similarly honored are the former dictators of Honduras, Ecuador, and Argentina.

It is quite an admission process that you have at the School of the Americas! And quite the alumni, after going through the formation process of this publicly funded private school, when I could not be admitted. Women working at the National Security Archives in Washington D.C. made a discovery when they obtained a copy of two declassified cables from the American Embassy in El Salvador. In one cable from the Ambassador to El Salvador in 1981, Dean Hinton discussed a meeting during which Roberto D’Aubuisson plans the murder of Archbishop Oscar Romero, with a described a lottery that the people who are attending the meeting hold to see who would draw the “right” to kill Romero himself. Roberto D’Aubuisson was trained at the School of the Americas as were two of the three officers directly responsible for the assassination of Archbishop Romero. The abuses that came out of The School of the Americas — with apologists like the bishop of Madison — were more shameful than the sexual abuse scandals that came out of my Church. Only this seminary is funded by the State and the citizens where I live. It is a War College, ironically, on internal matters of State. For established men. Born elsewhere. And mentally ill. Did you note the surge in mental illness, associated with wealth that caused a nation to go to war. Insurgents on each side. When mental illness is connected to the LAND, when people fought over a piece of LAND. The mental illness is between people who have and people who have not. Over the Spirit in a LAND. Or a missing reverence for the LAND. Or just a missing Spirit that comes out of belonging.

The School of the Americas. Now what. . . for the generation giving up a long-time association with The Institution. That blush mechanism is quite a gift. There had been the Glory connected to somehow SACRIFICING my personal smugness which comes from the institutions, passed to me, to die for the Land. This month the spotlight was back, along with an inner restlessness. It is unsettling. I remembered how I had felt in the 4th grade over all this attention, with a blush that could not be hidden, when perhaps I wanted to hide. Or flee from the spotlight. After about the age of 18, I seemed to have escaped to discover my own personality. In another state. Or to another Church.
